Jubilee Garden Party
On the 2nd of June 2022 the Just for Women Centre hosted a Jubilee Garden party to celebrate the Queen’s 70th reign on the throne and also to announce some big news. The party was based at the Centre were all the volunteers, partnerships and special guests were invited to celebrate the day along with performers, raffles, crafts, competitions, food along with hot and cold drinks from their Tea Room that was set to be open the week after.
Whilst the blazing heat from the sun was being generous to us on this event, we wanted to announce some very exciting news that we had to be kept quiet for a while. Mark White and Shona attended the garden party to not only make a speech on the many accomplishments that the Just for Women Centre have but to also award the team with the Queens Award, what an honor it was. After years of hard work and dedication to what Linda and the team have done for women, young girls and families all over the community that have changed their lifestyle and also progressed onto living enriched lives. This award was close to the heart for the organization as the team not only help their clients but also form a bond with them which most of the clients have no one or nowhere to go to for support or any guidance, this is one of the main reasons that the Centre have gained recognition for this very special award.
