Future Aims and Goals
The Just For Women Centre is aware of the need to re-focus its future direction to achieve its objective within the continually changing financial and policy driven environment.
The Just For Women Centre needs to be responsive to future opportunities and ready to meet challenges that lie ahead. We are growing in knowledge and expertise on women centred provision, we pride ourselves in a high-quality service and delivering the trust it holds among the women who use the service. The Just For Women Centre are aware of the challenges faced by the voluntary and community sector because of reductions in public expenditure.
The Just For Women Centre is committed to encouraging volunteers in the organisation not solely as an end result, but also offering training, work experience and placements.
We are seeking opportunities to expand peer-mentoring, facilitating outreach workshops, build partnerships with businesses in County Durham and to add skills to the organisation.
.Strategies include the following:
- The diversification of funding services including competing in the market for commissioned and procured contracts.
- Skilled and motivated staff and volunteers who are supported by effective organisational management and development structures
- Marketing The Just For Women Centre effectively both externally and internally to current and future users, commissioners, funders and policy makers.
- Researching opportunities of investment for social enterprises, developing craft products into a bigger market, creating uniformed branding and unique selling points.
